3.1 AFFECTED PRODUCTS

The following versions of victor, a video management system, are affected:

  • victor: Versions 5.7 and prior

3.2 VULNERABILITY OVERVIEW

3.2.1    USE OF HARD-CODED CREDENTIALS CWE-798

The affected product contains an SIP component that uses a hard-coded password, which may allow a local, low-privileged user to access video information under certain circumstances.

CVE-2019-19492 has been assigned to this vulnerability. A CVSS v3 base score of 7.8 has been calculated; the CVSS vector string is (AV:L/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:H/I:H/A:H).

4. MITIGATIONS

Johnson Controls has identified the following specific workarounds and mitigations users can apply to reduce the risk:

  • Disable the SIP feature in versions prior to 5.7.1
  • Upgrade victor to Version 5.7.1
