US-CERT Career Opportunities
The Department of Homeland Security's United States Computer Emergency Readiness Team (US-CERT) leads efforts to improve the Nation's cybersecurity posture, coordinate cyber information sharing, and proactively manage cyber risks to the Nation while protecting the constitutional rights of Americans. To accomplish this mission, US-CERT identifies anomalous activities, compiles and analyzes threat and vulnerability information, defines mitigation strategies, provides timely technical assistance, and shares assessments.

US-CERT Job Specialties
Communications (COMM) maintains assured communications with global partners, develops and publishes information products, and manages US-CERT's web presence.
Digital Analytics (DA) assesses digital artifacts to determine the potential impact of cyber intrusions, exchanging artifacts with global partners 24 hours a day.
Incident Response (IR) performs on-site and remote incident response, advising stakeholders ranging from sys admins to CIOs.
Network Analysis (Net-A) examines suspicious network activity, working in close partnership with federal civilian executive branch agencies.
Security Program Management (SPM) manages information security implications within the organization, or other area of responsibility, to include strategic, personnel, and security awareness.
Threat Analysis and Information Sharing (TA/IS) conducts research and evaluates all-source information to develop in-depth assessments of threats to federal assets and critical infrastructure.
